On 2 April 2019, your NHS diabetic eye screening provider, EMIS Care rebranded as NPS Care.
Why have we rebranded?
We are pleased to let you know that EMIS Care are now part of Northgate
Public Services (NPS) UK Ltd (an NEC Company), and will be known as NPS
Care. For over 25 years we have focussed on improving the health and
wellbeing of the people we serve and our NHS funded services are centred
around patients, their carers and families. As part of the wider NPS Group we
are proud to continue this service and want to reflect this with our new
How does this affect you?
Nothing has changed about the service you receive, the way you book your
appointment or the locations where you’re screened, you will also be seen by
the same local staff. We have written to your GP and the local hospital
informing them of our rebranding.
What about your details and medical records?
There is no change to the way your diabetic eye screening records and
personal details are stored; these are all stored in a secure UK location NPS
Care will not have access to your full medical records, only information that is
required for diabetic eye screening purposes. This includes: your name,
address, telephone numbers, date of birth, ethnicity (if known), GP details,
screening results (past and present) and access to eye images.
What changes will you notice?
In clinics you will notice staff have new uniforms and badges with our new
logo on. We’ve launched a new website which contains all your local diabetic
eye screening information - you can find this at https://npscare.northgateps.com
Anything we haven’t covered?
If you have any other questions, please contact your local programme using the appointment booking telephone service, or use the contact form to send us an email.
